The Reef Donkeys are designed to withstand the most brutal fights. The rod action will allow you to control the fish with high drag settings while still allowing a little leeway when the fish approaches the boat. These rods are a delicate balance between power and efficiency. They are equipped with 2 pulley rings, in places where the line undergoes the maximum stress during the fight. The ergonomic handle is not only very comfortable during a long fight, but it also has a flat area in the front to help apply the right pressure when "pumping" the line. These details make the difference between a “good” and a “great” rod.
Fillet Marttiini knives are covered with the material of the professionals: the Martef. The blades are extremely sharp with very low friction of the blade. The Martef is very hygienic. In addition, all Marttinni Fillet knives are dishwasher-safe, with no impact on the blade.

The stained birch handle has a traditional bird's head puukko style pommel. The black leather sheath has a plastic liner, and will accept belts up to about 1 3/4" wide. We have found this to also be an excellent skinner for small game.
